Congrats to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian! According to US Weekly and other media outlets, the two welcomed a baby girl into their lives when Kim went into full labor yesterday morning, about a month earlier than the July 11th due date. Just in time for Father's Day, the Yeezus rapper is a first time dad. This is also Kim's first child. TMZ reported that a source close to the couple has confirmed that both Kim and baby Kimye are doing well! It's also good to hear that Kanye was there by Kim's side while she gave birth.
No name has been shared with the public, if one has even been chosen yet. Other than a name, fans are anxiously awaiting a photo. Well, here's an EXCLUSIVE PICTURE OF LITTLE KIMYE courtesy of Philly's Q102! The new daddy definitely made his presence known.
Happy Father's Day Kanye!

THIRSTY FOLK, Listen Up!
Too often I see people, young and old, behaving as if they deserve whatever is in front of them and nothing more, nothing better. They underestimate their self worth because they're desperate and it shows. They consciously seek out relationship partners instead of letting the right one walk into their lives at the right time. What happened to a self righteous, confident, society? What happened to a society that wouldn't settle for less than it deserved? Why have so many become so thirsty? In other words, why are they so quick to seek attention and in so many of the wrong places anyway?
Earlier today, I had the pleasure to meet an older couple who had been married for 13 years. He was her date to her junior prom. Then she moved to California and he moved to Atlanta. Twenty years later they both just so happened to move back to Philadelphia at the same time and they've been together ever since. As they told their story, my heart just melted! After all of those years, something drew them back together. I'd like to think it was fate.
Moral of the story, just be patient folks. There's a time and place for everything and if something is meant to be, it will. If not, it wasn't for you in the first place. You deserve the best. Have faith and let that right person fall into your life when it's meant to be.
I'm just saying. Chill.
I'm just saying. Chill.

Made in America 2-Day Lineup Schedule
Make sure you're in Philly on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway for this year's Budweiser Made In America Festival. The 2-day event takes place Labor Day Weekend, Friday August 31st and Saturday September 1st. Beyonce is set to headline the first day.
Before the festival, Bey will be spending some more time in Philly. Her world tour comes to the Wells Fargo Center on July 25th. Then Jay-Z performs at Citizens Bank Park with Justin Timberlake on August 13th. Maybe Beyonce will make an appearance and tag along with her hubby. If not, the next time Philly will see her will be at the festival on August 31st.
Bey's little sis, Solange, is also set to perform that day along with A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, and Public Enemy. I hope A$AP brings Skrillex. I just want to hear Wild for the Night live. THAT IS MY JAM RIGHT NOW!
Nine Inch Nails will rock out as Saturday's headlining act. Throughout that final day of the festival, we can expect to see Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Wiz Khalifa, Calvin Harris, and Emeli Sande hitting the stage. Take a look at all the acts below and stay tuned for a more detailed schedule and stage locations later this summer.
Get tickets here for both days. Single day tickets go on sale this Friday (June 14, 2013) at 10am.

The Hart of Philly (Kevin Hart) is Coming Home!
It's official. Funny man Kevin Hart has been named the host of the 2013 Wawa Welcome America 4th of July Jam. The Philadelphian comedian, actor, and host could not come back to his hometown at a more perfect time. His new film Let Me Explain, based on his 2012 comedy tour, hits theaters on his birthday, July 3rd, the day before the concert! This will definitely be a very exciting week for the Hart of Philadelphia!
Check out the official trailer below.
You should certainly make it a point to see the film July 3rd then watch Hart host July Jam live the next day. I know I will!
Philly's own Jill Scott and The Roots are set to perform. Other performers include Ne-Yo, J. Cole, Jon Mayer, Demi Lovato, and more. For a full schedule of the Wawa Welcome America weeklong celebration, click here.
I had the chance to meet Miss Jilly from Philly and Ne-Yo as well as see them each perform live. He puts on a great live show! When you can put a face to a name and hear the raw talent, you really appreciate the music you've been listening to throughout their career. With him, Hart, Scott, and others, I think it's safe to say there will be lots to look forward to in Philly that week!
Take a look at this ball of HART HILARITY!

That Time Psy was Considered a Rap Artist & Nicki Gave Wayne a Lap Dance - WTH Moments of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards
After last night's Billboard Music Awards, I have to give props to Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, J-Lo, and Prince. Each of these artists gave refreshingly entertaining performances in my book! I mean, Bruno Mars with the classic Temptations look; Ed Sherran with the raw guitar-and-song; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with the crazy flow and bumping beat; J-Lo with the non-stop-high-energy collaboration with Pitbull; and Prince - Just. A. LEGEND.
But how about all those WTH moments from the show? Those jaw dropping moments that made you just think, "WHAT THE HECK????"
First, Tracy Morgan as the host............Okay, let it sink in.........Any excitement? ......No?....I didn't think so. Big ups to him for getting the job, but you know what they say - the host makes the show. And the "Bill-BORED" Awards were mediocre at its overall best.
What happened to live singing? For every artist performing LIVE at a LIVE event, I recommend that actual LIVE singing be a requirement; without prerecorded tracks. That would make sense though, right? I'm just saying. Get some back-up singers if needed, but don't lip sync! Like What The Heck!? Shout out to Kid Rock for calling them out! He came on stage and the first sentence out his mouth was along the lines of "Let's give it up for all the lip syncing and singing over prerecorded tracks!" Ha!
Miguel gave a knockout performance - he literally knocked out a fan. Mid-performance while trying to jump over the mosh pit in some dress shoes, Miguel literally landed on top of some poor girl. What the heck? Just watch it here.
Ouch!
Another ouch WTH moment - Justin Bieber went up to accept his Milestone award and in the middle of his acceptance speech, the crowd began to boo him. Like, What The Heck? Why? Maybe because he beat out ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez's BFF Taylor Swift. Who knows?
Anyway, while Bieber received boo's from the crowd, Lil Wayne received a special gift from a friend. How about a lap dance from label mate Nicki Minaj! What The Heck? Come on Nicki. That was just ratchet.
Also on the ratchet side were Erykah Badu's lopsided breasts. Sorry. I'm not a fan of her fashion and last night was no exception. Watching Badu during the Prince Icon Award tribute with Janelle Monae, all I was thinking was, "What The Heck is up with her wardrobe...and her boobs!?" Aww man :(
A closer look..
Last but not least for my WTH moments of the Billboard Awards:
WHY WAS GANGNAM STYLE PSY IN THE RAP CATEGORY? Some "rap" artists are already questionable, but Psy!? Really? Like, WHAT THE HECK BILLBOARD???
Here's to hoping next year's show is an improvement!

It's Your Call
Last night I caught an early screening of the new thriller The Call. The film features Academy Award winner Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut, and David Otunga. Remember Otunga from the "reality" show I Love New York 2 as "Punk?" His acting skills paid off; solid performance in the film. And Breslin steps up her acting game in what seems to be a more challenging role from some of her previous films such as Little Miss Sunshine, Raising Helen, My Sister's Keeper, and Kitt Kittredge: An American Girl. She did earn an Academy Award nomination for her role in Little Miss Sunshine.
In The Call, Berry plays 911 operator, Jordan Turner, fighting to save young Casey's life after she's abducted by the same culprit who successfully attempted the same offense in the past, among others. Breslin costars as Casey, while Chestnut and Otunga play partners in the police force. Chestnut's character is also Berry's love interest in the movie. Speaking of Chestnut, he's set to star in The Best Man 2 along with the original cast and same director, Malcolm Lee. It's scheduled for release this November.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves, back to The Call.
Everyday countless people dial 911 for some sort of emergency. Unfortunately, some even call for reasons that pose little to no threat. As a child, I once called 911 for a Band-Aid. While playing, my cousin, Quin, scraped and cut his knee and began bleeding. In my little 5-year-old-mind, he was severely injured and needed help! We didn't have any more Band-Aids in the house; what would you expect a little kid to do!? Whatever the reason, we never really think of the person on the other end of that call. We have no idea who they are, what they've gone through, or how our call may affect their life. Yet, we trust them to get us through our situation safely.
Now I don't want to spoil the movie, but I will say this: Berry's character risks her own life - and job - and really goes the extra mile to try to save the victim. And so I got to thinking, if it were me, would I do the same? Could I do the same? When we see a crime or sense something wrong, how do we react? Do we respond to help or taunt? Nowadays, a lot of people's first instinct is to pull out their cell phone and start recording, sadly, hoping to put the video on YouTube or send it to the media.
I don't know if I could have done what Berry's character did in the movie. The film had me on edge throughout its entirety. It was definitely a nail-biting experience. I LITERALLY BIT AND CHIPPED A PIECE OF MY NAIL OFF! One moment I felt I was Jordan Turner, trying every option I could think of to save this little girl's life, despising the offender, chillingly played by Michael Eklund! The next moment, I was grasping for air like young Casey trying to escape from that creep. And of course, I yelled at the screen at the typical spectators in the film going towards the villain attempting to be of service to the target, but ultimately causing more damage. Shamefully, I have to admit, I did call one bystander a dummy. Sorry about that.
While the talent is undeniable, the sounds of the film really pull you in. From the buzzing of the 911 call-room, to the quiet of the call recording playback, tires screeching, phones ringing and disconnecting, and the thumping heartbeats, your heart will race with anticipation through the ups and downs of this suspenseful journey.
Let's just say, you do not want to miss out on this film! It's in theaters NOW! Check out the trailer below and when you see it, let me know what you think! Would you be able to follow in Jordan Turner's footsteps to try to save a life? It's your call.
